They support patients by allowing them to budget for their private dental care and encourage a preventive approach to oral healthcare. As the only consumer-facing brand in the payment plan market, Denplan payment plans are one of the most recognised names in dental healthcare among UK consumers.

Denplan patients are given the best possible service (from the UK-based call centre) from the moment they join. To find out more about us go to www.denplan.co.uk

About the products

Denplan Care

  • Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you pay for your routine and restorative dental treatment
  • The amount you pay is decided by your dentist and is based on your oral health and how much dental treatment you will need
  • After an initial assessment by the dentist of your oral health (for which you may be charged) you will be placed into one of five fee categories
  • Our Denplan Care prices all include optional worldwide dental emergency and injury insurance cover. If you choose not to take out this optional insurance the monthly fee is reduced by 60p

Routine and restorative dental care includes:

  • Check-ups
  • Hygiene treatment (including scaling and polishing)
  • Dental x-rays
  • Necessary fillings
  • Preventive dental advice and therapy
  • Any necessary extractions
  • Periodontal (gum) treatment
  • Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
  • Root canal treatment

Denplan Care does not cover:

  • Laboratory fees and prescriptions
  • Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates
  • Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
  • Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist
  • Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
  • Sedation fees

Please remember – your routine dental treatment is at the discretion of your dentist and your contract is with your dentist, not Simplyhealth Professionals.

What is the Denplan Excel Certification Programme?

We are delighted to have become a Denplan Excel practice after months of hard work and assessment. It recognises our commitment to customer relations and high clinical standards. The programme, developed by Simplyhealth Professionals, was the first to be approved by the Patients Association and helps dentists to develop better relationships with their patients through good communication and quality care.

By joining the Denplan Excel Certification Programme we are embarking on a process of continual quality improvement within our practice. You’ll have a visible sign of our commitment to quality – a sign that proves to our practice team, our patients, fellow dentists and the general public that we have reached the high standards required set by the programme.

Not only will we be demonstrating that the quality of care, treatment and service we provide is among the best available, you will also be safe in the knowledge that our practice exceeds standards of clinical governance, statutory requirements and industry best practice recommendations.

The Excel programme has been recognised by the British Dental Health Foundation and the introduction of DEPPA (an online oral health assessment) has further enhanced the benefits available.

And now the Excel programme has been recognised by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) who are the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess organisations that provide certificate services against internationally agreed standards.

UKAS accreditation of the Excel programme is ground breaking as this is the first dental programme or service in the world to achieve such recognition. As the GDC move towards introducing a revalidation scheme (known as “continuing assurance”) and the other regulators refine their approaches, we firmly believe that this places Excel dentists in a favourable position.
