Denplan is the UK's leading dental health care company, which was founded in 1986 when two dentists had a vision of creating a new approach to dental care. Today, this is evident in the Denplan Care programme, which is based on the prevention of dental disease rather than repair.

With Denplan Care your fixed monthly payments help you to budget for regular, affordable preventive dental care, without the fear of costly and unexpected bills.

Well Established
Around a third of UK dentists currently support Denplan Care with over one million registered patients. It is the only programme to have been fully accredited by the British Dental Association.

All Denplan member dentists must take part in the Denplan Practice Quality Programme every 3 years. It enables Denplan practice teams to stay abreast of current legislation and accepted 'good practice'.

Benefits for patients on Denplan Care

· All normal routine dental care including check-ups, fillings, x-rays and preventive care are included. Work involving laboratories, (crowns and bridges), the time with the Denplan member dentists is covered, so the patient only pays the laboratory costs.

· Preventive care, including help with avoiding gum disease and tooth decay, scaling and polishing, fluoridation, dietary and other preventive advice.

· A 24 hour telephone helpline for immediate assistance in case of dental emergencies outside normal surgery hours, providing peace of mind.

· Whenever possible, referral to an English speaking dentist throughout the world.

Denplan Excel Accreditation Programme

Denplan Excel is an accreditation programme designed for your dentist and it brings you many benefits:

· Reassurance in your dentist - they are practising in line with current good practice

· Oral Health Score© - you will receive a regular oral health score from your dentist. This is a score out of 100 and will indicate how healthy your teeth and gums are

· Improved understanding - of the care and treatment available to you

· Motivating you - to maintain and improve your oral health

· More consultation - involvement in deciding your care and treatments

· Improved relationship - with your dentist through better communication and greater involvement in your own oral health

· Patient survey - you will have the chance to give your feedback on the care and service your practice provides By joining the programme, your dentist has committed to keep you well informed about your care and treatment. To help achieve this, a special range of Patient Information is available from your Denplan Excel dentist that explains different treatments and procedures, as well as giving advice on oral health.
